Between 1865-1875, Walter Crane designed for Warner and Routledge a tremendously successful series of around fifty illustrated Toy Books sold for one penny each, due to their large print runs.
The present edition gathers in a clean and elegant layout eight of the original stories as they were drawn by Crane, fully restored and enhanced: The Three Bears, Cinderella, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Little Red Riding Hood, Valentine and Orson, The Sleeping Beauty, Bluebeard and Puss in Boots.
